Weymouth and Portland Paralympics Sailing Events
The waters of Weymouth Bay and Portland Harbour will play host to the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games’ sailing events - and as the first Olympic event to take place within the shadow of a UNESCO natural World Heritage Site (The Jurassic Coast). Highlights of this trip include a tour of Portland to enjoy the peninsula's fantastic views onto the Olympic and Paralympic venue, its Trinity Lighthouse and Portland Castle built in Tudor times, a lunch of local produce and fresh seafood from the surrounding waters, a visit to the observation tower for a 360° view and the chance to try your hand at beach volleyball, golf, cricket and kayaking to name just a few.
