Stratford-upon-Avon, Warwickshire
In the year of the World Shakespeare Festival, the biggest ever celebration of the life and works of Shakespeare, this day trip introduces the playwright's birth town. Stratford-upon-Avon is a picturesque market town on the River Avon where William Shakespeare spent the majority of his life. Visit the home of his wife Anne Hathaway, and the beautiful Swan theatre that was modelled on the original Globe theatre. The day ends with tickets to a performance of Much Ado About Nothing at the Courtyard Theatre.
